Phyto Phytolisse Ultra Glossing Finishing Serum

The latest product to have tackled my big crazy hair is the Phyto Ultra Glossing finishing Serum*. I have been loving so many of the Phyto products in the last couple of months and I think it is mainly down to the fact that they are effective and yet kind to the hair as they contain only natural ingredients.

The Phyto Phytolisse Ultra Glossing Finishing Serum is a multi-purpose serum, which is said to lock out humidity whilst adding shine. It can be used throughout the day to calm fly-aways, tame frizz and add shine. This is a leave in product so there is no need to wash it out and I definitely think it is helping to tame my hair after styling and giving a much glossier finish.

I am not overly keen on the smell and I do seem to be getting through it very quickly (but I do have a lot of hair!). But aside that, I would definitely use this again. I particularly love that it does not leave your hair feeling at all greasy which is a problem I often find with hair serums and it doesn't leave your hands sticky either.

The Phyto Ultra Glossing finishing Serum retails at £22.50 for 50ml and is available from Space NK and online at Feel Unique hereHave you also been trying out many produtcs from the Phyto Range?  Please share any recommendations in the comments below!

Rapid Brow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum Review

The Rapid Brow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum* is a type of product that I had never experimented with before and I wasn't quite sure what to expect from it. It is a clear gel that you apply like any other clear brow gel however, the Rapid Brow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum contains a unique blend of fortifying proteins, stimulating peptides and nourishing ingredients designed to help condition, restore and repair the appearance of eyebrows. For the best results it should be applied both morning and evening.

I have quite dark eyebrows which had a few little gaps that were caused mainly from over plucking. So I normally fill my eyebrows with a shadow (I love MAC Charcoal Brown or Brun) but after having used this product for a couple of months now, I really have seen the results and have been doing much less to my brows in terms of filling in.

It is a rather pricey £37 but if you are desperate for that Cara Delevingne power brow, then this is definitely worth a try! The Rapid Brow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum is available at Boots stores nationwide and you can also check out the Rapid Brow Site Here.

MAC 'Up the Amp'

I recently  took  my 6 empties  to MAC  to pick up my free lippy and on this occasion  I went for  'Up the Amp'. A gorgeous vibrant shade of purple which is perfect for a pop of colour on the lips and can update your look in an instant. I have been wearing this in the evening but cannot wait to wear it all through the Summer. I absolutely y love MAC lipsticks due to there consistency and staying power and cannot recommend them highly enough.
What was the last MAC shade you picked up? Let me know what you think and give me any recommendations!

My Top Three NYC Products - Launching 24th January!

On January 24th, New York Color will be adding some very exciting and fab new products to their range. I was lucky enough to get to try out some of these products in advance and I have been massively impressed. Instead of going on about all of the new products, I have decided to select my top three products which I think are the ones that your makeup bag for Spring simply cannot be without. First up is this beautiful NYC City Mono Eyeshadow* in the the shade 'Pink Whisper Souffle Rose'. I have personally enjoyed applying this along the waterline to really brighten up the eyes. It also works well when applied under the brow-bone for a very subtle highlight and as it is not too shimmery, it is ideal for daytime use.

After applying the shadow, I have loved applying lashings of the NYC Big Curl Mascara*. It really opens up your eyes and gives your eyes that fluttery and fresh look that we all often long for in the Spring. The wand is absolutely huge but is really easy to work with and you can definitely skip using the eyelash curlers when using this mascara.

My last must have is the Beautiful NYC Expert Lip Colour* in the shade 'Modern Love'.
This is the ultimate everyday 'my lips but better' kind of shade and it is moisturising and easy to work with.

These products along with your favourite foundation and/or concealer and a light dusting of your bronzer and blusher will create the perfect pretty and chic look for Spring. And so there you have it, an instant makeup look update at a very affordable price!

Make sure you head to your nearest NYC shelf next week and let me know what you pick up.

Burberry 'Mulberry' Sheer Eyeshadow

Makeup brand of the moment for me has to be Burberry. I can't help but swoon as I pass any Burberry makeup counter and so many of their products keep ending up on my beauty wish list. 'Pale Barley' and 'Khaki' eyeshadows as well of some of their bases are definitely next on my list but overall I absolutely adore the whole range.

This Sheer eyeshadow in the shade 'Mulberry' No24 is a deep burgundy brown shade with iridescent shimmer, the color translates to the skin quite accurately and has a strong mauve undertone and the ultra finely-milled texture leaves a silky satin finish with a gleam. The packaging is oh so beautiful and has clearly been thought out down to the very last detail. At £22.50 this is obviously a rather high-end luxurious purchase but if you feel like treating yourself on a high quality eye shadow then this truly is worth every penny!

So here you have it once again, another Burberry beauty buy that gets a well deserved 10 out of 10 from me.

My NARS Winter Go-to Blush.

Every morning I have the same dilemma, which blush to wear that day? Something that to some may sound absolutely ridiculous but to me; a good blusher can completely alter your complexion and give you that extra radiance boost that the skin often craves in these colder seasons.

This Winter saw me fall in love with the NARS bestseller 'Deep Throat', a subtle, dusty shade of peachy pink which also has a slight shimmer. It creates a sheer and natural looking colour which is ideal for winter and the slight shimmer also means that you could probably skip the highlighter.

All NARS blushers are of such a high quality, they are incredibly pigmented so only buildable a touch of this swept across the cheeks and you are good to go. That being said they also incredibly so a more sculpted and in depth look can be created.

NARS blushers retail at £21.
Have you tried man other NARS blushers? And which would you recommend?

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair

The Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair* is the ultimate cult beauty buy. It is loved by many Beauty Eds and women worldwide and I have been desperate to try it out for many years. With high expectations for this product, I hoped it would have a miraculous effect on my skin. It has been said to even out the skin-tone and even help with breakouts- two of my own personal skin concerns. Unfortunately for me, I cannot confirm this was the case.

I keep this blog as positive as possible but I feel like on this occasion I needed to make my beauty footprint and share my views on this product with you which seems to me to have definitely been over-hyped. It may work for you as a skincare regime is very personal and unique to you but I have been rather disappointed with the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair. The serum itself does feel lovely on the skin and has a really nice texture but for me that does not quite justify the £44 price tag.
There are definitely better skincare investments out there and this is not one of them.
