H20 Sea Salt Spa Trio

Last minute Christmas shopping for beauty junkie friends, mums and/or sisters? Check out this Sea Salt Spa Trio* from H20 here. (It's now in the sale!)

I have really enjoyed all of these products, particularly the amazing body butter and overall, I have found the Sea Salt Spa trio to really polish, purify and restore the skin's natural glow.

In this set you get a Sea salt body wash (120ml), a Sea salt skin smoother (340g) and a Sea salt hydrating body butter (120ml).

So what do you think? Will you be giving this as a gift (or getting it for yourself in the sale!?)

Empties #4

It's that time again, I have an overflowing amount of empty products that I have recently got through so as usual, I will share my final thoughts on the products and if I would I use them again...

Laura Mercier Creme Brule Hand Creme
My favourite hand cream to date, I will always come back to this. It is rich and creamy and the smell is beautiful and lasts all day!

Phyto Secret de Nuit*
I really enjoyed using this product- the general concept is great. However, I think I would be interested to try other alternatives in the future.

Molton Brown Templetree body cream
I really enjoyed this moisturiser and think it would be particularly fab for the summer time. It is light and absorbs into the skin very quickly.

It's a 10 miracle Leave in product
I was given this by a family member and fell in love with it instantly. I am yet to find anything better but unfortunately this is particularly hard to get hold of within the UK.

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser*
Really loved this, it does everything it says and I would have no qualms in using it again whatsoever!

Too Faced Lashgasm Mascara
I did like this mascara from Too Faced but it was nothing to really rave about. I wouldn't rush out to buy it again, although I don't often buy the same mascara twice!

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer
Although so many people swear by this concealer, I was not overly fussed. I wouldn't repurchase it and I much prefer the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer- it is similar yes, but just so much better!

Percy and Reed TLC hair Mask*
Absolutely loved this, the packaging, the smell, the result. It's simply amazing!

Soap and Glory Scrub em and Leave 'em exfoliator.
I found this exfoliator really effective and I think it is really reasonably priced. And of course, just like all Soap and Glory products- it smells amazingly!

Let me know what you think! x

November Favourites!

I don't think it has ever taken me so long to post a monthly favourites post so I do apologise! November went incredibly quickly for me and I found myself going back to old favourites as opposed to trying out lots of new products. My only latest discovery and absolute love was the Clarins Moisture Rich Body Lotion. However, I loved it so much that I got through it painfully quickly.

Haircare wise, I went back to my all time favourite Lee Stafford products; Hair Growth Treatment and the Bleach Blonde Shampoo. I truly believe both products really work and I think they are reasonably priced as well! (I always stock up on Lee Stafford products when they are on offer in Boots!)

When it comes to skincare, I think in the next couple of weeks I will be trying to revamp my entire routine as I have been having so many breakouts lately. But for a couple of pounds I could't help but pick up a favourite from my teen years- Witch Blemish Stick.

Last but by no means least is the Lancome Hypnose Mascara- why I bother with any other mascara I don't know- this is incredible.

So what do you think about these products and what have you been loving lately? Let me know!

I had heard lots surrounding Steamcream* and having never had used this very popular product myself, I was pretty eager to give it a go. Steamcream is a handmade face, body and hand cream which is made from natural ingredients that are fused together by a shot of steam. The cream is very lightweight and quickly absorbs into the skin and I particularly have loved using it on my hands as I have found it super nourishing. I have also been using it on my face but I usually prefer to use something richer on my skin at this time of year.

Steamcream retails at £12.99, which I do think is reasonable for a multi- purpose product like this. And don't get confused either (as I did originally), there is only one Steamcream formula but they are sold in a variety of different patterned tins. They are each very unique and pretty and so if you were to become a loyal Steamcream user, you could end up with quite a nice collection of pretty tins that can definitely be reused!

Let me know if you have used Steamcream before - I would love to  hear  from you!

The Perfect Stocking Filler by Gazelli

How beautiful is this new Luxury Gazelli Discovery Set*? A perfect introduction to the Gazelli brand and their Triple Youth range. Infused with White Healing Oil, antioxidants and organic compounds, these Gazelli products are known for being highly effective. What of course completely won me over, was the oh so beautiful packaging. It oozes luxe and charm and has actually been inspired by the ancient poetry and art of Azerbaijan. And so in my eyes, this would make a perfect Christmas gift idea or stocking filler.
This set includes a 5ml sample of the Ultimate Firming Serum and the Intensive Age Repair Cream.
By using the serum followed by the cream, both morning and night, the skin should begin to feel deeply nourished, toned, firm and plump.
The Triple Youth Luxury Gazelli Discovery Set* retails at £12 and for more information you can check out the Gazelli website here.

So will you be hoping to get this in your Christmas stocking this year or will you be getting this for a family member instead perhaps!?
Let me know!

The New CID Mini I-Prime

The New CID Mini I-Prime* has not left my makeup bag for the last couple of weeks. Priming the skin before applying makeup is a step that I often forget, but since having this mini version of the New CID I-Prime; which is an ideal size for carrying in your makeup bag, I have not stopped using it.

This primer also has various skincare benefits and I find it really smoothes the skin, whilst helping you achieve the perfect canvas before you apply your foundation and the rest of your makeup. I definitely have noticed that my makeup has been lasting much longer when applying this and it is so light that it doesn't feel like you have lots of layers of product on your skin either.

This 25ml I-prime retails at £10, which I think is a really reasonable price for a primer (and remember you don't actually need to apply much of it either). I always like trying a mini sizes like this before committing to a full size bottle anyway as if something is not suitable, it doesn't feel like such a waste.

The New CID mini I-Prime* is available to purchase online at or

So have you already picked this up? Or will it be added to your Christmas Wish List?

An Introduction to NYC cosmetics

I'm really excited to introduce you all to the NYC makeup range. I personally am completely new to the brand but, I have heard some great things about their products and so I am so excited to be trying out some of their latest releases. The first thing that must be mentioned is that the entire NYC range is so affordable and the products are really highly pigmented and seem to be of great quality.
The above picture is an edited selection of some my favourite products from the latest NYC collection which launched earlier on this year in September.

Starting with the HD Quattro Eyeshadow Palette, I absolutely love the shade 'Best of Broadway' (see below). There are a total of 4 palletes to choose from and each contain 4 different shades and with each palette only costing £2.99, you just can't go wrong!

Next is the Appleicious Glossy lip Balm, a balm which adds colour, shine and moisture. There are 6 shades to choose from and they retail at £2.49- I love the smell.

The  NYC Special Effects Rock Muse Smokey Top Coat is the perfect top coat to give your regular nail varnish an edge, especially over the Christmas season. Again this is very affordable at only £1.99.

NYC also have a great range of metallic eyeliners,  which retail at £2.99. There are four colours to choose from and I personally adore the above shade 'leopard print'. Sticking with the theme of eyeliners, I have also loved trying the NYC High Definition Felt Tip Liners. They are so easy to use and you can use them for either day or night looks. Above is the shade Extra black but you can also get the shade Deep brown and each cost only £2.99.
I also wanted to mention these amazing Individual Eyes Eyeshadow Palettes which are designed for those with blue or brown eyes, they cost an amazing £3.99 and are really quite self explanatory when it comes to application. The step by step guide makes them really easy to use as the palette includes a primer, an all over lid colour, a crease colour and a highlighter.

Do let me know what you think of these products and what you would like to try or what you would recommend from NYC- I would love to know :)

John Frieda Full Repair Range

I first used the John Frieda Full Repair Shampoo and Conditioner earlier on this year and it has been one range that I have kept going back to. I think it is reasonably priced (often on offer), I love the smell and it really leaves my hair feeling smooth and much healthier. It also leaves a nice finish on the hair without me then having to put much effort into styling afterwards.

Recently, I have also started trying out the John Frieda Full Repair Styling Spray which is basically a heat protector for the hair- a very important step for keeping your hair healthy! In all honesty, I am quite indifferent when it comes to these kind of sprays, which isn't necessarily negative; I just find that most styling and heat protectant sprays all do the same job.

You can check out the John Frieda Full Repair range here or go onto their YouTube where you can watch loads of useful tutorials here
Let me know what you think and if you have tried this range before.

It REALLY is worth the hype! Lancome Hypnose Mascara.

Believe the hype ladies because the Lancome Hypnose Mascara truly is the best mascara I have ever tried. I've purchased it time and time again and whenever I come back to it; I can't help but wonder why I even bothered trying another mascara.

This definitely adds a lot of volume to the lashes and you can really achieve a few different looks with the Hypnose mascara. You can define the lashes and make them look fluttery and pretty for a pretty daytime look or instead, add some extra coats for a glamourous and dramatic evening look- no falsies needed and the perfect mascara for the Christmas party season!

Clarins Body Blitz

I'm an avid fan of Clarins products in general. I cannot be without my Beauty Flash Balm and more recently, I have been obsessing over their latest limited edition palettes. For now however, I am taking things back to basics and thought that I'd take you through some Clarins body care bits that I have recently started using and already love.

The Clarins Moisture Rich Body Lotion is definitely my favourite product out of all three. The skin is left feeling amazing and soft and although it has a rich formula it does dry very quickly. The Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment cream is a really intense treatment for the hands and nails and I can imagine it to be effective on even the driest of skin. Also, as I get through a lot of hand cream, I particularly love the size of this product as it means it should definitely last me a while.
Last but not least is the Clarins Foot Beauty Treatment cream. I don't normally use a foot cream as I often just double up my hand or body cream to use on my feet but it's definitely been nice to use a product which is actually designed especially for the feet.

I'm really enjoying these products and this routine, especially as skin can often become quite dry as winter approaches. These products have been an absolute saviour for my skin and so I would highly recommend them.

You can check out all the Clarins range here.

No Clogs Allowed!

The Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed super self-heating deep pore detox face mask is a deep cleansing treatment that's ideal for greasy and blackhead prone skin. You only need to use it once or twice a week by rubbing a grape-sized measure onto your face and then scrubbing it in and the product then gives a heating feeling on the skin. I personally have liked rinsing it off straight away but you can also leave the mask on for 3-5 minutes for a more intense treatment.

I've found this to definitely have a smoothing effect on my skin but it does leave the skin feeling slightly dry afterwards, so a good moisturiser is essential.  I'm not sure if I'd go as far as repurchasing this because I think there's definitely better products of the same kind available. However, that being said it has done what it says on the bottle, it smells great and Soap and Glory is generally a rather affordable brand.

October Joliebox

Apologies for the delay in this months Joliebox post, time has been flying by! I was really very impressed with the October Joliebox which was described as a 'pure and natural box'. Filled with all sorts of amazing organic and natural beauty products, this box is designed to keep you feeling beautiful both inside and out. And as always, I also loved this months Joliemag which had the lovely Fleur from Fleur de Force on the cover.
This months box included a box of Lov Organic- Lov is Beautiful herbal tea which is said to have proven skincare benefits. A full size Jason Bee Healthier Lip Balm stick, a sample of the MOA Green multipurpose Balm, an amazing full size of the Ritessens exfoliant and finally and two samples of the Iroisie Soin Parfait Ultimate BB Cream.
My favourite product has to be the Green multipurpose balm and I am so excited to start using the exfoliant from Ritessens.

What did you all think of this month's Joliebox- will you be getting a subscription? Let me know as I always love to hear what you think!

Phyto for Ultra Dry Hair

The PhytoNectar Ultra Nourishing Shampoo and PhytoKarite Deep Nourishing Brilliance Mask are both designed for those with ultra dry hair.  Both the shampoo and mask have a very creamy formula, and are supposed to moisturise and revitalise the hair intensely from within.
Helping protect the hair from external stress factors; this combination is ideal for this time of year as it nourishes and revives dehydrated, brittle hair- a common problem for many throughout the colder seasons.

The PhytoKarite Deep Nourishing Brilliance Mask intensely repairs whilst minimising breakage and deeply regenerating the hair. I found it very important to follow the exact instructions when using this product for the best results. You simply mask the ends and lengths of towel-dried hair and then comb the hair to evenly distribute the product. Also, before applying the product to the hair; I've found that if you work the product with your hands first, it makes the mask generally easier to work with.

It has actually taken me some time to decide on whether or not I liked these products but I have come to the conclusion now that I definitely do. Where they work the hair from 'within' I found that I saw my hair get worse before it got better but now after a few uses, I can definitely see a real improvement in the overall health of my hair. I particularly like knowing that it is actually repairing my hair, instead of just masking it with chemical nasties like many other hair products do to just give that 'quick fix'.

The PhytoNectar Ultra Nourishing Shampoo (£11.50) and PhytoKarite Deep Nourishing Brilliance Mask (£22) are silicone and paraben free and are available at Feel Unique (here) and also in
John Lewis.

October Favourites!

I can't believe it's already November; this year is going so quickly. The month of October saw me dig out the dark berry-toned lipsticks like MAC's Dark Side, which is pictured above- I love absolutely anything and everything that is burgundy at the moment. And when it came to skin this month, I have been obsessed with achieving a 'glowing' complexion and so, my absolute must-have and go to products have been the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, Rimmel Wake me up Concealer and the New CID i-glow in the shade Sirocco. Also, after not having used it in a while, I've fallen back in love with my CaudalĂe Beauty Elixr. I have only been using it after having applied my make up; like a setting spray and I just feel like it makes my makeup look much nicer and more natural on the skin.

What products have you been loving this month!? Let me know!

'Scrub 'em and Leave em'

I have been absolutely loving this ''Scrub 'em and Leave em' body scrub from Soap and Glory. It smells amazingly, the packaging is fab, I LOVE the name and well it does what its supposed to do! My skin is left feeling really smooth and soft and exfoliating really is so important as it gets colder.
At around £8, I also think this is very reasonable considering the size of the product and in fact I have actually stocked up on a few of these!

My love for skincare has really taken over lately and so I'm pretty excited to tell you about my experience with the GLAMGLOW face mask.  Prior to trying this product I had heard some truly fabulous things about this little jar and with its cult celeb following and it claiming to give you that 'Hollywood Glow', I simply could not wait to slather this all over my face.

According to GLAMGLOW 'This is a Hollywood miracle product, a ‘facial in a jar’ that delivers everything you need for great skin, whatever your skin type. Used behind-the-scenes in Hollywood’s entertainment business, it was designed to create perfect, camera-ready skin in minutes.'

It’s a very grainy like formula and feels almost like a facial scrub. To apply, you simply smooth it on to the skin and wait for around 15 minutes before washing it off. It's a rather interesting shade of green, although the colour actually change as it dries. It also becomes practically impossible to make the slightest facial expression whilst you have it on- how VERY Hollywood!

So how did I really get on? Well, the first time I used it, I found the tingling sensation almost unbearable and I am not usually one to complain. However, a couple of weeks later when my skin was feeling really congested, I decided to use GLAMGLOW once again and luckily, I had no problems with the tingling. I'm still not entirely sure what caused it to react differently in terms of the tingling sensation - but perhaps this alters for everyone. However, on both applications there really was no denying that my skin was left looking amazing. In an instant my skin had a completely different texture. It was smooth, soft, brighter, even, clear and radiant.... ok the list could go on. But it was definitely goodbye to my 'bad skin day' and well just to get the point across, the results were simply outstanding.

GLAMGLOW retails for £49.99, which may seem like a lot but it really does seem to be a skin saviour. I don't think it would be something I'd use on a regular basis but instead, I think I'd save it for when my skin really needed a pick me up or for special occasions- it would definitely be perfect for the Christmas party season.

You can check out the GLAMGLOW site here for more information and you can also purchase smaller samples to try the mask before you commit to the full size.

It is also available in store at Selfridges and Space NK.

So what do you all think!?
